Giving Back

The HUGS Foundation was born from Dr. Quatela’s belief that physical abnormality shouldn’t hold children back, rob them of opportunities, or make them feel ostracized or rejected. The foundation organizes missions with multi-specialty teams of experts to provide medical care to children and adolescents around the world. All of the young patients treated by the HUGS Foundation suffer from a deformity or condition that plastic surgery can remedy or alleviate.

Dr. Quatela lives in Rochester with his wife and 3 children. Fly fishing, music, and collecting fine wines are his passions outside of work.
